Conditions of hire

Reservations for the hire of Marlpit Lodge are accepted on the following conditions:

 

  • For bookings more than six weeks before arrival a deposit of £50 is payable on booking. The balance to be paid no later than 6 weeks before commencement of the holiday.
  • For bookings made six weeks or less before your arrival the full amount is payable on booking.
  • Once the confirmation of booking has been issued the hirer is responsible for the full advertised price of the booking.
  • We aim to make the property and its contents safe and in good working order, however the use of the amenities is entirely at the user’s risk. We cannot accept responsibility for injury to guests or third parties or for the loss or damage to their belongings or cars.
  • Please report any breakages or damage to us.
  • Linen and towels are provided. Guests staying for 2 weeks or more will be provided with clean linen each week.
  • The hirer is responsible for the property and is expected to take reasonable care of it. The property must be left clean and tidy. All utensils and equipment must be left clean.
  • The hirer is entitled to occupy the property for holiday purposes and shall not confer on the hirer any security of tenure longer than the agreed amount of time.
  • Sorry no pets. No smoking.
  • A change of holiday dates may be accepted provided we have eight weeks notice. There will be an administrative charge of £20.00.
  • If the hirer is forced to cancel the holiday the deposit is none refundable. If the hirer is forced to cancel the holiday within the six week period prior to the holiday the rental fee minus the deposit will only be returned if we are able to re-let the property for those dates. We strongly recommend that the hirers have holiday insurance to cover cancellation charges.
